How it works

One case, one group of detectives, and a killer who has already decided to lie.

1. You open a case

Every case is a folder of evidence: interviews with the people involved, photographs from the scene, timings, reports and loose threads. Nothing is random — somewhere in the material the facts do not add up.

2. You investigate together

Play alone or invite your group. Everyone sees the same evidence, and anyone can put their own questions to the witnesses. You do not have to be in the same room — one person shares a code, the rest jump in. You can split the work: one reads the interviews, one compares the timings.

3. Ask, compare, suspect

The people involved answer what you ask about, and only that. The innocent have no reason to hold back; the guilty have every reason to. That is where the contradictions are.

4. Name the killer

When you have made up your mind you submit an answer: who did it. For it to stand you need both the motive and the decisive evidence — the right name on the wrong grounds is still the wrong answer. If the verdict goes against you, you are told what you missed, and you can put the case behind you. You may guess wrong as many times as you like; an investigation costs nothing to regret.

5. New cases all the time

Just like a real investigation unit, new folders keep arriving. Several cases are free to solve. The rest open with Normal for 29 SEK a month, or Premium for 49 SEK a month — Premium opens everything, cold cases included. No ads, no gambling, nothing engineered to keep you hooked: it is paper, questions and logic.

Have a look at the terms for what the subscription covers and how to cancel — it takes a minute.

6. Want to write the cases yourself?

The Author tier lets you build your own cases: suspects, evidence, motives and a solution — and then play them with others. Everything is reviewed before it goes live.
